• In August, Donald Trump signed a law on the expansion of sanctions against Russia. It says that within 180 days, that is, around February 2018, the American authorities must prepare a detailed report on Russian “oligarchs”.
• Once in this report may threaten the introduction of personal sanctions. Usually they provide for a ban on entering the territory of the United States, freezing assets and a ban on doing business with American citizens and companies.
• The Russian authorities are well aware that large businesses may have problems. Vladimir Putin gathered all major Russian businessmen one and a half to two years ago to warn them about the risk of personal sanctions, two participants in that meeting told us.

Personal sanctions against Russian large business are likely to close foreign expansion for its representatives, which means that even greater isolation of the country and its economy. Cryptocurrencies will be allowed, but with restrictions

The Kremlin published Putin's instructions on the regulation of cryptocurrencies given to the government and the Central Bank at the meeting last week. From the instructions and comments of officials, several conclusions can be drawn:

• The concepts and status of cryptocurrencies and tokens will be described in the new law, which should be developed by July 2018.
• ICO in Russia will be regulated in the same way as expected in the United States, on the basis of the current laws on exchange placements (IPO).
• For mining cryptocurrencies, legal entities will have to register and pay taxes, which are not yet clear.

If you invested in cryptocurrency, you should think about transferring it into ordinary money until the summer of 2018. The ruble (or cryptorrhea, when it is developed) will remain the only legal payment fund in the Russian Federation, officials emphasize. How to regulate calculations in cryptocurrency, the state has not yet decided. In 2016, the Ministry of Finance even proposed to introduce criminal liability for mining. Now there are no such radical ideas, but how hard this regulation will be, it is not yet clear.
