On October 21, 2017, the final vote of the jury was held at the forum “Scientists Against myth -5” to elect the new members of the Lzhanuk (DOLL) Veli Academy. Metropolitan Ilarion (Grigory Alfeev), chairman of one of the first dissections on theology, and the head of the Department of Theology of the MEFI, was elected by most votes to the honorary academicians. In the hard struggle, his candidacy defeated the candidacy of TV presenter Igor Prokopenko with Ren-TV. Olga Kovekh, head doctor of HIV-dissident groups and communities, did not gain a single voice, but, like Prokopenko, became a corresponding member of the correspondent.

During the vote among the jury members, a hot discussion unfolded, in the framework of which they expressed their regrets that not all worthy candidates fell into the three leaders. Mikhail Gelfand even proposed to introduce a new nomination “Professor Lie” specifically for the Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky. However, the organizers of the award indicated that this was done outside the regulations and is therefore not considered an official act of a lie. So the result was that Medinsky and Doctor of Sciences are not real, and could not even become a real professor.

The wishes were expressed to somehow perpetuate the Academy lied the merits and 14 members of the VAK Presidium, who voted to leave the minister the degree of Doctor of Sciences. And this initiative of the jury received hot support for the forum participants. Given the experience acquired during the anti -aircraft in two years, the organizers intend to make a number of changes to its procedure.
