Declared a short list of "Russian Boker"

Today, October 26, the jury of the Russian Booker literary prize for the best novel in Russian has declared finalists of 2017.

According to the Prize website , six works were included in the short list of Russian Boker-2017:

• Mikhail Gigolashvili - “Secret Year”;
• Igor Malyshev - “Nomes. Sparks of a large fire ”;
• Vladimir Medvedev - "Zakhhok";
• Alexander Melikhov - “Detail from Quasimodo”;
• Alexandra Nikolaenko - “Kill Bobrykin. The story of one murder ”;
• Dmitry Novikov is a “head flame”.

“The short list of“ Boker ”reflects the fullness and diversity of today's prose. - commented the chairman of the jury of the award Peter Aleshkovsky. - The finalists work in different novel genres. These are the authors, both beginners and already established in our literature. ”

The Russian Bookter literary prize has been awarded since 1992. Last year, Peter Aleshkovsky received the award for the novel “Fortress”.

This year, 80 works were nominated to participate in the award competition, 75 of them were admitted to the competition, 19 was selected in Long List .

The winner of the Russian Boker - 2017 will be announced on December 5. It will receive 1.5 million rubles, finalists - 150 thousand rubles each.
