The organizer of the March 26 anti-corruption rally in Makhachkala, Marat Ismailov, said that the Sovetsky District Court awarded him compensation in the amount of 25,000 rubles for obstructing the rally.
According to Ismailov, the court sought compensation for non-pecuniary damage from the Russian Interior Ministry.
The activist asked to recover compensation (100 thousand rubles) not only from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but also from the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the administration of Makhachkala and the financial department of the city, but the court rejected his claims against other defendants, Ismailov said on Facebook .
“The reasoned decision will be ready next week. Based on its study, the issue of its appeal in terms of unsatisfied requirements will be decided, ”he wrote.
