On October 26, the Oktyabrsky District Court of Murmansk fined Violetta Grudin, the coordinator of the local campaign headquarters of Alexei Navalny, 20,000 rubles. The activist reported this to the OVD-Info hotline.
The fine was issued in an administrative case, which Grudina learned about on September 21, despite the fact that the alleged offense took place on August 12. The activist was accused of campaigning in Hyde Park using a “collapsible structure”, that is, a campaign cube, without approval.
According to the policemen who drew up the protocol, and the court that supported them, an event with a “prefabricated structure” must be coordinated with the authorities even on the territory of Hyde Park.
The court session began on October 25, but the court made its decision only the next day.
