Open Studios occupy the premises of the Aidan gallery, artists work in a common space, the concept of which was developed by the architects of the Project Eleven Bureau.
The first stage of the project began on August 22. According to the results of Open Call , 82 applications were received, of which members of the expert council - Aidan Salakhova, Elena Selina, Alexander Sharov, Dmitry Khankin, Nikolai Palazhchenko, Andrei Parshikov, Alexey Novoselov and Sofya Trotsenko - took away eight.
The competition for participation in the project amounted to ten people per place. These are novice artists aged 20 to 35 years, who already have art or art history and exhibition experience.
Among the participants in the first season of the project, Vladimir Kartashov, Anton Kushaev, Asmik Melkonyan, Kristina Strunkova, Daria Neretina, Leon Gasparyan, Alexey Zhuchkov, Denis Uranov. They work in various media - painting, objects, installation, graffiti, mosaic. Subsequently, a foreign resident will be added to the project participants.
Artists have been working at the Winery in Open Studios from October 21, the result of their life in the art cluster will be a group exhibition. You can visit the studios every day, except Sunday and Monday, from 12:00 to 20:00.
