Before today's meeting of the Basmanny Court, the lawyer of the Director of Ramt Irina Vorovinova told Bfm.ru that the Ministry of Culture and the Apfelbaum were not the initiators of the financing of the Serberennikov project: “There was a letter signed by [Dmitry] Medvedev - the president - on the allocation of money for this project. Then there was a decision of the government, and the Ministry of Culture fulfilled the will of the government. Sonya by proxy signed an investment agreement with Serebrennikov. ”
At the trial, the lawyer said that the Apfelbaum did not know anything about theft. Noting that her client does not pose a danger to the company, Porovinova asked the court to choose a preventive measure for her, not related to restriction of freedom, and let go of 1 million rubles.
The representative of the investigation opposed the release on bail. According to him, there is information proving that on May 25, 2017, Apfelbaum was going to discuss a certain financial documentation with the former general producer of the Seventh Studio Alexei Malobrodsky.
On May 23, they came to the Apfelbaum with a search in connection with the investigation of the “Seventh Studio” case and interrogated in the UK as a witness. On the same day, searches were held by Serebrennikov and the Gogol Center Theater.
