The head of the International Committee of the Council of People's Commissars, Konstantin Kosachev, promised to delete his account after an announcement on the prohibition of advertising RT and Sputnik on Twitter. He told about this RT .

“I myself am the Twitter user and still relied on the independence of this social network. Now I see that it is obviously dependent in its actions, politicized. Therefore, I decide to unsubscribe from Twitter and eliminate my account there. If you want, this can be perceived as a share of solidarity with RT and Sputnik. <...> I am not interested in Twitter since today, and I stop using its services, ”the senator said.

Kosachev emphasized that he was deeply outraged by the actions of the leadership of the social network and considers them a violation of the principle of freedom of dissemination of information. He saw in the ban on the manifestation of the campaign of opposition to US President Donald Trump, who is accused of “Russian intervention” of the elections.
