Under the terms of the event, the finished robot, it was necessary to present on September 4. The St. Petersburg team “Mat Custom” first began to discuss the project only on August 25 - however, the deadlines were subsequently moved, and the robot was completed by the beginning of October.

Participants chose between several types of combat robots, but four of the five options did not fit them. For example, a flipper - a robot with special handles or a platform with which you can tip over rivals - deleted, since there were no pneumatics specialists in the team (and the overturner is usually pneumatic). Robots with a saw or ax look spectacular, but it is difficult for them to apply real damage.
As a result, Mat Custom decided to build a “spinner” - a robot with a massive three -legged beam that rotates above its body. The beam was driven by two car starters ; It rotated at a speed of 1.5 thousand revolutions per minute - this should have been enough for the opponent’s corps to enter a few centimeters into the amazing zone. Hammers attached to the ends of the beams.
The wheels and batteries for the robot (it was called the "Forester") was taken from gyro scooters. "Forester" cost a team of 230 thousand rubles.
"Forester" took part in three battles. At first he “fought” with an al-monitor (and smashed it to smithereens); Then the qualifying battle passed. At the third battle, the “Forester” was torn off the rotating part, and the axis with the bearing torn his opponent. On this, the participation of Mat Custom in the Battle of Robots ended.
