The Meshchansky Court today refused to take into consideration the lawsuit of journalist Alexander Plyushchev against Roskomnadzor and the FSB, in which he challenged the legality of the demands to transfer the encryption keys that the FSB sent to the Telegram messenger.
“Judge Irina Afanasyeva considered that the requirement to provide the FSB with access, including to my correspondence, does not affect my interests in any way ... Therefore, our plan B comes into force: we file a private complaint with the Moscow City Court and, of course, appeal to the 15- a day's time," Plushev wrote on Telegram .
Journalists Alexander Plyushchev and Oleg Kashin announced their intention to file lawsuits against the FSB on October 25. They justified their actions by saying that the demands of the special services to transfer the encryption keys of the Telegram messenger violate their right to privacy of correspondence. The plaintiffs are represented by Agora. Oleg Kashin has not filed a lawsuit yet.
Earlier, the court fined Telegram Messenger LLP 800 thousand rubles. for refusing to comply with the FSB's request for information to decode user messages.
