The Supreme Court of Bashkiria overturned the decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court of Ufa, which fined lawyer Zulfiya Gaisina, a member of the regional council of Open Russia, for violating the rules for participating in a public action. It is reported by "Idel. Realities".
The Supreme Court sent the case back for a new trial due to improper notification of the place and time of the court session. In any case, the participant of the action will not be brought to administrative responsibility, since the term of attraction has already expired.
On September 16, in front of the Sports Palace in Ufa, an action "In defense of the Bashkir language" was held, in which from 800 to 2,000 people took part. On the same day, the police came to the house of the three organizers of the action and took them to the police department. Prior to this, the city administration did not agree on the event and offered an alternative place and time, which the organizers refused.
On October 4, Zulfiya Gaisina was fined 15,000 rubles by the Oktyabrsky District Court for violating the rules for participating in a rally (part 5, article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
