1517 Luther's 95 Theses

Five hundred years ago, on October 31, 1517, the priest Martin Luther affixed his "95 Theses" to the church door in Wittenberg, initiating a mass movement against the dogmas and practices of the Roman Catholic Church. Especially strongly Luther objected to indulgences - remission of sins for money. The beginning of the Reformation and the history of Protestantism are counted from the "95 Theses".
