The serial production of electric vehicles is planned to be launched in Primorye in the next two years, the press service of the Ministry of Development of the Far East said on November 1. The Prometheus plant, a joint project of a group of Russian companies "Sumotori" with Japanese partners, will begin to build next year. It is planned that the first electric cars will come from the assembly line in 2019, the report said.
The corresponding agreement with Japanese investors was signed in Tokyo a year ago as part of the Primorsky Business Mission, the press release notes. Vitaly Verkeenko, the head of the Sumotori Group of Companies, said that the joint company Prometheus has already received the status of a resident of the Nadezhdinskaya TOR , located 32 km from Vladivostok, a land plot with an area of 3.5 hectares and is developing project documentation.
“Initially, we planned to convert used Japanese cars into electric cars using the Preferences of the free port of Vladivostok,” Verkeenko said. “However, EV technologies are developing rapidly, which allows us to immediately move on to the second stage of the project - the production of full -fledged environmental machines at our own plant in Primorye.”
"The manufacturer has not yet disclosed a model of future Madeinrussia electric cars," the Ministry of Easternizer said, adding that the estimated volume of financing of the project will be half a billion rubles.
Verkeenko expressed confidence that the course announced by the Government of the Russian Federation for "electricity" will contribute not only to the development of the industry and increase the purchasing power of the population, but also will significantly improve the environmental situation in the country.
On the eve of Izvestia , it was reported that the Cabinet of Ministers plans to develop programs for subsidizing the purchase of electric cars, preferential car loans and autolizing, and support measures will be addressed, including manufacturers of electric vehicles - both domestic and foreign assembly in Russia, the ministerial press release notes.
At the end of September, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Alexander Morozov, said that two automakers in Russia have already conducted their electric cars and plan to establish their serial production in 2018. What kind of companies are this, he did not specify, but added that the project supports the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the state is working on the creation of infrastructure for electric cars.
The Government of the Russian Federation earlier this year approved changes to the rules of the road, introducing new terms "electric car" and "hybrid", as well as the corresponding road signs and markings. And in October in Russia, GOST was approved with the requirements for charging stations for electric vehicles.
At the same time, sales of foreign electric cars in the Russian Federation in the current year are growing , and their total amount by July of the current year reached 1.1 thousand . Two -thirds of the total volume of the electric cars sold this year in the Russian Federation falls on Tesla.
