A deputy of the Severodonetsk City Council was killed in the Luhansk region

In Severodonetsk, Luhansk region, the head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction was killed in the city council of Sergei Samara. This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

On Thursday evening, the wife of deputy Irina Samara, the wife of the deputy, turned to the police. According to her, at 17:20 the husband called her and said that he was going home. Since then, Samara did not get in touch. In search of the missing, the police were sent. "When examining the territory adjacent to his house on November 3 at 00:30, the body of Samara with signs of violent death - a broken head was discovered," the report said.

Law enforcement officers consider several versions. "The possibility of committing a murder due to the political activity of the victim, the commission of a robbery, as well as the murder in the business that the man led before his election by the deputy of the City Council is considered. The case was opened under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional murder)

The adviser to the chairman of the Luhansk Regional Military Civil Administration Vitaly Shvedov considers the murder of Samara political. “They played into democracy in the ATO zone, to the return of former militants under the SBU program, to political diets and forgiveness and resuscitation of former regions.
