According to investigators, the man published information on the website about his participation in hostilities and that he was sick with incurable diseases, including cancer. He asked to send him money to pay for treatment abroad.

Five people transferred more than 30 thousand rubles to him and the man wrote that he was flying abroad. However, several users doubted his words and, under a fictitious pretext, arranged a meeting with a St. Petersburg resident who was collecting money. At the meeting, it turned out that the man did not participate in hostilities, does not suffer from cancer, and did not travel abroad.

He said that he lost money on the stock exchange and took out loans that he could not repay, and because of this he decided to collect money supposedly for treatment. It is noted that the accused partially compensated for the damage.
