The Kurgan City Court sent the former head of the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service, Ilgiz Ilyasov, under house arrest for two months, accused of three counts of taking a bribe and abuse of power (290 of the Criminal Code and 285 of the Criminal Code), reports Znak.com .
Ilyasov did not admit guilt. “I am not a criminal - I am a patriot of my country! If someone wants to make me a criminal, then this is a policy or an order,” he said at the meeting.
The former head of the FSIN department was detained on November 2. According to investigators, he received bribes from contractors who were building an apartment building for department employees and other facilities.
Also, according to the Investigative Committee, Ilyasov used the labor of about a hundred prisoners in the construction of the house.
