Protesters against the construction of an incineration plant near the village of Svistyagino in the Voskresensky district of the Moscow region blocked the Novoryazanskoye highway (federal road M-5) near the neighboring village of Stepanshchino. This is reported by Mediazona and RBC .

As journalist Ilya Vasyunin told Mediazone, about 50 people took part in the action. Activist Aleksey Kholkin estimated the number of participants at 80 people.

The protesters walked non-stop along the pedestrian crossing, preventing cars from passing. At some point, the police released part of the highway. According to Kholkin, the activists “contained the movement even with police officers for about two hours.” OMON officers arrived at the scene, but no one was detained, it follows from the words of Vasyunin.

According to Kholkin, the protesters demanded a meeting with the head of the administration of the Voskresensky district, Vitaly Chekhov. “He referred to the fact that he was at an official event and could not come,” the activist said.

Chekhov himself told RBC that the action was carried out by "a protest-charged group of people that travels throughout the Moscow region." “These are the same people. And they spread their opinion that supposedly no one listens to them. And we always listen to the opinion of the residents, ”the publication quotes him.
