Prince of Saudi Arabia dies in plane crash

A helicopter crashed in Saudi Arabia carrying Prince Mansour bin Muqrin and several high-ranking officials, including the governor of Ansour province.

Saudi Arabian television, according to the Kuwaiti agency KUNA, announced the death of the prince, without specifying any details of what happened, except that the helicopter crashed near the border with Yemen. No survivors of the plane crash have been reported.

• Mansour bin Muqrin is the son of the former Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muqrin bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The title of Crown Prince Muqrin bin Abdulaziz was stripped in April 2015 when King Salman of Saudi Arabia changed the order of succession to the throne.
