Most Soviet students were extremely inattentively studied by the siblling “primary sources” - few paid attention to the note at the very end, typed in small font: “It was written 13-14 (26–27) on September 1917. First printed in 1921 in the magazine "Proletarian Revolution" .
That is, in fact, this was not an article, but the real instruction from the underground, addressed not at all to numerous readers of Pravda (its circulation in October 1917 was more than 200 thousand copies), but only to the few elected to the members of the Central Committee of the RSDLP (b), which, then not counting Lenin himself, there were only 20 people. Here is an accurate quote from this instruction: “... organize the headquarters of rebel detachments, distribute the forces, move the right regiments to the most important points, surround the Alexandrinka, take Petropavlovka, arrest the General Staff and the government, send such detachments to the junkers and to the wild division that can die, but prevent the enemy from moving towards the city centers; We must mobilize armed workers, call them to a desperate last battle, take a telegraph and a telephone right away, place our headquarters of uprisings at the central telephone station, connect all the plants, all regiments, all points of armed struggle, etc. ”
Lenin, no matter how anyone treated him, was a brilliant politician - if we agree, of course, that the policy is the struggle for power - and a brilliant tactician.
He very accurately calculated that the main thing for victory is control over the fastest media and communications (about the seizure of post offices from Lenin, noticed, not a word is said: the post office in Russia already went badly and slowly).
Chekists and uprising
If purely theoretically, God forbid, so that this happens in reality! - To assume that one of the many Chekist groups that clashed today would have decided to a coup, it is easy to assume that it would act according to the same Lenin scenario, of course, slightly modernized taking into account the achievements of civilization. To take control of not only the stations, but also the airports - this is understandable. Not only printing houses, but also television centers - this, as they say, does not need to go to the grandmother.
Many remember how, in 2000, in Moscow, at the end of the summer, the Ostankino television tower caught fire. Life without television in the capital made a strange, alarming, even frightening impression. This effect, if desired, can be very successfully used for narrow -minded political purposes. True, there is also cable and satellite television, but the addresses of operators of cable networks and centers, from where you can turn off any subscriber of a system like NTV-Plus, are well known.
More difficult - with foreign systems of direct satellite broadcasting. Here the putschers would have to climb the roofs and remove the “plates” from there, with the help of which individual curious citizens receive a signal from foreign communication satellites. However, the owners of this equipment are units, they do not make the weather.
Even more difficult - with the Internet. Block a specific web address, physically close the editor of the online media is a rather meaningless lesson. Every self-respecting site, at least sometimes thinking about his future, has the so-called “mirror”, with which you can remain in the World Wide Web, being somewhere in an inconspicuous private apartment, and even better-far beyond the country. You can, of course, arrange “masks-shows” providers, stop the work of servers. But then not only strangers, but also their own will remain without the Internet. And this is not only e -mail, the exchange of political information, but also much more. Money transfers, for example.
Next - telephone stations, including mobile networks management centers. There, too, you can turn off all users, you can one one-how they turn off or block for non-payment, or you can-only members of the opposing group. Of course, the last option is preferable. Mass shutdown of Beeline's services or MTS will probably cause a response wave of popular discontent. However, most likely you will have to turn off everyone.
After all, every “unreliable” always has a mobile phone, decorated on some outsider. When else they will calculate him in the voice! Many probably watched the American action movie "Enemy of the State" (1999) with Will Smith, Gin Hackman and John Voit in the lead roles. Since then, almost all of the film invented by the authors of the film became a reality. After the global transition of all the main types of communication to the “figure”, special services can track, record, store computers in memory, extract almost everything that happens in the world.
Progress as an antidote
But there is one big "but." Ultimately, everything is closed on a living person. Almost any conversation on the phone (and sometimes not by phone) can be recorded. But then someone must read the decoding, analyze it, decide what to do next. Imagine how many people are needed?! And how many of them are those who are organically not able to make decisions? That's it.

The bridges, of course, are still important - there, in Moscow, the most terrible traffic jams arise precisely when they block the movement along the bridges leading to the city center. But something else is much more important: technological progress and information globalization make the Rome of October 1917 in Russia, less and less possible. And then, for the success of the uprising-according to Lenin-something else is needed. The declaration of intent. Brief and sharp. The shorter, the sharper, the better. Lenin correctly foresaw that it would be extremely difficult for his political opponents to fight the government promising the peoples without “annexations and indemnities”, the land - peasants, factories - workers, bread - hungry. Now re -read the spiritual article of General Cherkesov* in Kommersant. Well, how? Will the masses go to the new assault on the winter under the slogan “All Power - Chekists”?
