The head of the Ministry of Culture Vladimir Medinsky demanded that the rector of the Moscow Art Theater School Igor Zolotovitsky explain to explain the appearance of a naked actor in the play "Yanko Krul Albanskay" based on the play by Futurist Ilya Zdanevich. It is reported by RIA "Novosti".
“Fortunately, I have not seen this unconditionally brilliant performance,” the official admitted. At the same time, he expressed confidence that "when the actors come out in this form, this suggests that both him and the director have nothing to show." “I'm just wondering what the children are taught there,” the head of the Ministry of Culture remarked.
Many "theater innovators" should refresh their concepts of morality, the official also said.
Medinsky assured that in such cases, his department would intervene in the creative process. “The State Theater, especially the Studio school, should observe the canons of morality,” he emphasized.
Recently, the Moscow Komsomolets reported during the demonstration of the performance at the Podium festival 72-year-old teacher of the theater institute named after Schukin Vladimir Ridlazov, after the appearance of a naked actor on the stage, ran out onto the stage and demanded to stop the performance. He compared the production with the performances of "one director, who is now under investigation" - probably Kirill Serebrennikov. Strolazov called these performances a "brothel", and the participants accused their participants of "trampling the theater into the mud."
As a result, the performance turned out to be disrupted.
Earlier on Wednesday, the head of the workshop of the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio Dmitry Brusnikin, whose students put Yanku Kruly Albanskava, told the Moscow Agency that the performance would not prohibit the performance.
He added that the appearance on the stage of Ridlazov could become a "part of the production" if the students had not been "confused."
“It’s just that this language is not very clear to the Schukin school,” Brusnikin remarked about the behavior of Ridlazov. “But what to do - let them form a little, learn about who these authors are these authors, what are the Oberiuts, Dadaism, let them learn about some problems, are interested in.”
