NASA and Uber will launch a flying taxi

The American space agency NASA and the Uber taxi service entered into an agreement on joint work on the Flying Taxi Uber Elevate.

NASA will ensure tracking Uber Elevate devices and control them in the city airspace without creating airports. Uber will not be engaged in the production of flying taxis on their own. The company notes that they will create infrastructure in partnership with one of the producers of aircraft.

Uber Elevate testing will begin in 2020. In 2028, the Olympic Games in Los Angeles are assumed to launch the service in commercial operation.
