In Kostroma, Alexander Zykov, deputy coordinator of Alexei Navalny's local campaign headquarters, was summoned for questioning by the police over photographs he had posted on his Vkontakte page. Zykov wrote about this on Facebook.
According to the activists, “they want to open a criminal case against him either for extremism or for insulting him.” He added that the investigator had not yet "decided on which article".
Coordinator Alexander Subbotin told 7×7 that on November 8, employees of the criminal investigation department twice came to the headquarters. They said that Zykov needed to come to the police station to testify, but declined to specify in what case.
According to the newspaper, Zykov considers the call for interrogation to be revenge on the part of the police for another criminal case - against police major Eduard Volkov, who hit the activist with his head in the face, breaking his eyebrow to the point of blood.
On October 12, the court fined Zykov 200,000 rubles for participating in the October 7 rally. The day before, he was detained at his home - in the village of Krasnoye-on-Volga - and taken to the local police department to allegedly hand over a summons to the military registration and enlistment office. Later, the activist was taken to Kostroma, where a protocol was drawn up against him.
