The coordinator of Navalny's Chita headquarters was expelled for absences for valid reasons

In Chita, Mikhail Faizrakhmanov, the coordinator of Alexei Navalny's headquarters, was expelled from the Trans-Baikal State University, allegedly for absenteeism. The headquarters believe that the expulsion is connected with the political activities of the coordinator, writes Open Russia.

According to Fayzrakhmanov, on October 24 he received a call from the dean's office and was informed that they had an idea about his expulsion.

“I came to the dean's office, took this performance against signature and went to an appointment with the dean of the faculty. He said that in connection with the forthcoming accreditation of the university, they are very cautious and therefore such a situation has developed. We agreed that I would write an explanation, and they would make a decision,” he said.

On November 2, Fayzrakhmanov was expelled by order of the rector - the reason was allegedly missing classes. He was informed of this on November 7th. In response to the activist's questions, the rector replied that in connection with the upcoming accreditation, they were conducting a purge "and nothing can be done about it."

“The reasons for missing classes are valid, and taking into account the precedent practice of the university, in relation to students like me, it was possible to resolve this issue without expulsion,” the coordinator specified.
