The administration of Saratov rejected 2018 notifications of holding a rally-meeting with Alexei Navalny, writes Znak.com.
According to the coordinator of the headquarters, Mikhail Murygin, as a justification for the refusal to agree on a meeting, the authorities cited a provision number that is not in the law on rallies.
“We were told that our applications do not meet the requirements of Article 7.4 of the Federal Law No. 54 “On marches and rallies”. But such an article simply does not exist in this law. Now we are preparing a group appeal to the court and the prosecutor’s office,” the coordinator said.
