In the Buryat village, a monument to Vladimir Lenin was erected to the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution. The bust was found in a landfill.

The bust was installed in the village of Tarbagatai, the registry office of Buryatia said. In Soviet times, there was no monument to Lenin in this settlement.

“In many villages of Buryatia, in the post -perestroika period, such monuments were demolished and ended up on landfills <...> So monuments were erected in the village. Zaigraevo, in with. Bichura - on the longest street. The monument to the leader, installed in Tarbagatai, was also found in a landfill, ”the registry office said in the press service.

The marble bust was made by the artist Boris Kosarev. Lenin is depicted in a half -bearded, with a bowed head.

The monument was erected by supporters of the Communist Party. They held a solemn rally ending in the execution of the International.
