What to listen to in November

“Happiness for weaklings,” Nadezhda Gritskevich sings on the new album “Shards”, and her voice at that moment is full of some kind of natural beauty, a little solemn and calm, like a card with a view of the snowy forest or the surface of the frozen lake. This is an interesting contrast-the title fragments, apparently, belong to someone's broken heart, because all the songs of this album somehow affect the romantic relationship at a particular point on the way to the crash. The album begins with the words “I can’t stop the movement, then go without me”, but ends with perceiving almost as a software statement “we are broken and not to repair us” - and all this is a hopelessness with the same precise peacefulness that covers in the winter forest. The arrangements are built with the same beautiful restraint, and all this is a little elevated grace, in truth, contrasts pretty much with the drama that is portrayed in the songs. This contrast stands with a barrier on the way for a great love for this plate. It is quite difficult to really imbue a conversation about feelings in which the feelings themselves, well, we can say that not.
