On Friday, Bloomberg, citing a press secretary of the American leader Sarah Sanders, reported that Trump and Putin’s negotiations would not take place. “They can see each other and say hello? Of course, perhaps probably,” said Sanders. “But from the point of view of the planned, official meeting in the calendar there is nothing, and we do not expect it to be.”

Trump will participate in the APEC summit during a ten-day trip to the countries of Southeast Asia. The White House said that the president plans several meetings with the leaders of the countries during the summit, but in the American administration they cannot yet say who exactly with.
If negotiations in Vietnam still take place, this will be the second meeting of Trump with Putin. The first took place on July 7 on the fields of the G20 summit in Hamburg.
