In Moscow they say goodbye to the satirist Mikhail Zadornov

Farewell to the satirist Mikhail Zadornov, who died on November 10 at the 70th year of his life after a long illness, will be held on Sunday at the Medsi clinic on Pyatnitsky Shosse, Echo Moscow reports. The source of TASS on the eve reported: relatives of the satirist expressed a desire for the ceremony to take place in a chamber setting.

After farewell, Zadornov’s body will be taken to Latvia and buried in Riga next to his father. The exact date of the funeral has not yet been announced.

In early October 2016, it became known that Mikhail Zadornov was sick with brain cancer. The writer reported on the social network "VKontakte" about the abolition of a number of concerts due to the "serious illness", and then told fans about the upcoming chemotherapy course. In November 2016, Zadornov conducted a brain biopsy, after which he underwent a course of treatment in one of the private clinics in the Baltic states.

In June, according to some reports, the satirist abandoned medical treatment, considering him useless and deciding to spend more time with his relatives. Before his death, Zadornov renounced paganism and accepted Orthodoxy.
