2015 Terrorist attack in Paris

Two years ago, on November 13, 2015, several terrorist attacks were carried out in Paris: explosions near the Stade de France stadium in Saint-Denis, the shooting of visitors to several restaurants, and the massacre in the Bataclan concert hall, where about 100 concert spectators American rock band Eagles of Death Metal were taken hostage. As a result, 130 people died, mostly young people in their 20s and 30s, and more than 350 were injured.

The attacks were carried out by Islamic State militants led by Belgian citizen of Moroccan origin Abdelhamid Aboud. He was shot dead in a shootout with police in the Saint-Denis area on 18 November. Another 9 terrorists died in shootouts with police or blew themselves up. Only one of the terrorists, Belgian-born Salah Abdeslam, was arrested on March 18, 2016 in Brussels.
