In Rostov-on-Don, employees of the headquarters of Navalny Vadim Kobzev and Leonid Sankin were arrested for 4 and 3 days, respectively. Also for three days, volunteer Vladimir Sytnik was arrested. Their associates of Viktor Arabadzhiev and Sergey Erokhin were fined at 10 thousand. rubles.

Criminal prosecution

If the prosecutor's office agrees to retraining, then Volkov threatens up to 5 years in prison.

Beatures and attacks

This type of pressure as direct physical violence is not yet predominant, although such cases are already fixed. The most loud of them are an attack on the closest ally of Navalny Nikolai Lyaskin and the pogrom, arranged by the Cossacks at the headquarters in Krasnodar. Political scientists surveyed by NT are unanimous in the opinion that the order for the power pressure on the supporters of Navalny, judging by the scale of the phenomenon, is lowered from the center, but its interpretation largely depends on the local authorities.

“In general, this is a general federal trend for power opposition. Too wide geography is that this is only amateur performances. We know that the executive vertical in terms of politics always acts with an eye, focusing on informal advice. I think there are some wishes, they are advisory in nature. Therefore, there are cases when everything goes without excesses, ”comments political analyst Alexander Kynev.

Kynev considers precisely the scale of such pressure from the repressions of previous years in relation to the opposition. “I think they are counting on the psychological effect. This is an attempt to intimidate, a signal that it is not safe to work and cooperate with Navalny. And partly this is a provocation against Navalny. With this number of cases, he must somehow react, otherwise it will be instantly used against him as an image weapon, ”the expert believes.

Kynev warns that historical experience shows that strength pressure leads to radicalization of protest. “Someone will push it away, others will become angrier. Self -defense is a natural reaction of a person. It is difficult to say about the ratio who is frightened, who is radicalized, ”says the expert.

“It is quite obvious that there was a signal from the center, otherwise they would not dare to behave so defiantly in the field. According to the expert’s observations, the arrest for several days can not stop either the person or his like -minded people, rather asks them. “But I prefer to consider the opponent smart, which means that they are preparing a strong blow. Oreshkin fixes a change in the relationship of power: it was decided that it is necessary to finish with Navalny and his movement. This is evidenced by the fact that before a certain observance of rights was supposed, there was no total stripping. And Navalny also had to somehow change the strategy, but he either does not be ready or does not want, the expert argues.

“The difference between Navalny and others - he really fights for power and this stands out sharply against their background. In 2018, nothing shines on him, at best - in 2024. “To some extent, all these repressions help to discourage the hunt, because it seems that you will fight either with windmills, or with a down pillow. Nothing changes, this is the main problem that brings disappointment. In this sense, the strategy for supplanting Navalny on a political periphery works. And he would have to have something in stock, counter-strategy, but I don’t see it yet, ”Oreshkin summarizes.

According to the calculations of the representative of the central headquarters of Navalny, over 340 of his supporters were detained by the police in all cities where the shares were held on October 7. More than 150 people are brought to administrative responsibility. The total amount of fines amounted to 720 thousand rubles.
