Novosibirsk authorities have reduced the housing program for young families by three times

The housing program for young families in the Novosibirsk Region has been cut three times since its launch. This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Construction Committee of the Legislative Assembly Dmitry Kozlovsky.

The committee agreed on minor changes to the regional state program on 15 November. Kozlovsky drew the attention of the deputies that since its adoption in 2014, funding has only been decreasing.

“The program, of course, is very necessary, but it is lame in the sense that from the original version <...> it has been reduced by 744 million rubles from various sources for five years [2015-2020],” said the deputy chairman of the committee.

In the original version, according to Kozlovsky, by 2021, 1.7 thousand families should have received housing. “Three times reduced the funding of the program. As a result, young families receive three times less,” he added.
