Comrade Robert Mugaba, instead of a mausoleum, fell under house arrest - here they are, the advantages and disadvantages of longevity. The fate of the Zimbabvian dictator, which destroyed his own country, could be treated as the next curiosity from the life of a third world, if only the regime in Harara had not so amazingly resembled a regime in Moscow.
And really, what's the difference? In Zimbabwe, the same naive faith of the population in the leader, which was not able to undermine economic instability. All the same tribal approach to the formation of power: Putin's tribe is a cooperative "Lake" and partly the FSB. All the same "United Russia", which in Zimbabwe was also bought out of two once -hostile groups of a new "revolutionary" nomenclature. All the same marginalized opposition - at some moments its representatives even sought success, but not the authorities. All the same indefatigable anti -Americanism, covering corruption and devastation. There is not enough snow. But what is surprising in this? Only democracies differ, authoritarianism is always the same.
That is why it is curious to see how it can be in Russia, when the leader is finalizing the elite completely. And it is not necessary to say that the security forces will never speak against their leader. As they do. They support him only until he provides their own prosperity. The inadequate ruler does not need first to his own close associates.
The security forces were considered the most faithful support for the Mugabe regime, but they also surrendered their nerves, after they saw that the old man was finally closed in a family world, lost his connection not even with reality, but with a nomenclature illusion and lead them to collapse. So once the Ukrainian security forces, making sure of Yanukovych’s insanity, left a frightened recidivist alone with the rebellious people. Yanukovych, however, managed to escape - Mugaba failed. Interestingly, Putin will succeed.
