These six Chechen prisoners took matters into their own hands, after years in pretrial detention

Facing an extension of their pretrial arrests on hooliganism charges, six Chechen men tried to cut open their veins in a Moscow courtroom on Friday. Paramedics responded immediately and none of the men is reportedly to have suffered serious injuries. It’s unclear how they managed to bring blades to their hearing. The men have been in pretrial detention since 2015.
