Argentine Navy submarine goes missing in the Atlantic Ocean

The Argentine Navy has been unable to establish contact with the San Juan submarine in the Atlantic Ocean for two days. The last communication session with her took place on the morning of November 15.

Argentina has launched a search operation involving a destroyer and two frigates, as well as aircraft.

According to one version, a fire broke out on the submarine in the battery compartment, as a result of which the communication system failed.

According to Reuters , there are 44 people on board the submarine. During the last communication session, she was 400 kilometers from the coast of Patagonia.
