In Irkutsk, the coordinator of the headquarters of Navalny was arrested for seven days

In Irkutsk, the Sverdlovsk District Court found the coordinator of the city election headquarters of Alexei Navalny guilty of organizing an unauthorized rally on November 4 and sentenced him to seven days of administrative arrest. This was told by the lawyer of the activist Vyacheslav Ivanets.

The court decision on the case of Sergei Bespalov was issued on Friday, November 17, under Part 2 of Art. 20.2 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (organization or a public event without submitting a notification in the prescribed manner of a public event), Interfax reports.

“The judge gave nine days of arrest, and then he threw off one of my minor children one day. Total turned out to be seven days,” the opposition coordinator explained to reporters.

On November 4, Navalny held a rally in Irkutsk. The event took place on the territory of the Moscow furniture center, provided by the opposition by local businessman Dmitry Tolmachev, who was threatened by unknown people.

Previously, Bespalov insisted that the opposition meeting with the townspeople "does not require coordination, since it is organized in private territory." The administration of Irkutsk, in turn, characterized this meeting as an unauthorized rally.

The authorities of Irkutsk coordinated the Navalny site on the island of Knock, but the supporters of the politician did not go there. They headed precisely to the Moscow shopping center, where the oppositionist campaigned to come to come. According to the commission for mass events, the Irkutsk rally of Navalny gathered about 700 people.
