Volgograd activist and supporter of Vyacheslav Maltsev Anatoly Boltykhov was detained and sent from the police department to a psychiatric hospital. This was reported by his comrades by phone to the OVD-Info hotline.
Boltykhov was detained on November 17. The night before, someone had punctured the tires on two of his cars. Yesterday Boltykhov went to the parking lot to make repairs, and when he finished, he went home and took a battery from one of the cars with him. On the way, he was stopped by a police officer who voiced the suspicion that the battery had been stolen. The activist was taken to the police, where a psychiatric ambulance soon arrived.
The doctors examined Boltykhov and, recognizing him as sane and adequately responsive to his surroundings, left. After some time, they returned, according to eyewitnesses of the incident, with "gray faces", and now they have already decided to hospitalize Boltykhov.
Now the detainee is in the regional psychiatric dispensary. He reports that he is required to sign some documents.
UPD 20.11: "Caucasian Knot" published excerpts from the ruling of the Dzerzhinsky District Court. The ruling states that the court recognizes the materials received from doctors as sufficient for involuntary hospitalization. Until the trial (November 22), Boltykhov will remain in the medical facility.
According to the definition, the basis for the conclusion about the need for hospitalization of Boltykhov was the information of the inspector of the PPS of the police and the doctor, according to which he behaved “inadequately, spoke about the seizure of power, as a result of which an ambulance was called for him.” It also says that, according to a passerby, the activist “shouted in the street about a change of power, about a coup, a revolution, claims that he can turn the system around.”
Botlykhov is in the regional clinical psychiatric hospital No. 2
