In the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, a public activist reported pressure from police

Activist Evgeny Musatov from the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug spoke about the pressure put on him by people calling themselves police officers. Rosbalt reports this.

Musatov took part in a rally against the actions of the Rosneftegaz Corporation, which took place in Novy Urengoy on November 7. The activist himself lives in the city of Nadym. On November 16, he received a call from a man who introduced himself as Evgeniy. Evgeniy said that he was a local police officer and he needed to talk with Musatov about the last rally.

The activist replied that he could not talk now and was in a hurry to go to work. That same evening, two people unknown to him came to Musatov’s home, one of whom called himself the district police officer Evgeniy. Both of them were dressed in civilian clothes.

The guests began to ask the activist about the reasons that prompted him to go to the rally. Then Evgeniy’s companion took out a camera and began openly filming Musatov and his entire family. Evgeniy asked how much the activist was paid for participating in the action. After Musatov replied that no one paid him, Evgeniy offered to give him 50 thousand rubles if he told the camera that he was paid for the rally. After this, the owner of the house persistently asked the guests to leave, which they did. At the end of the conversation, Evgeny began to threaten Musatov: “You are a khan! You can’t live in this city!”

Musatov described all this in a statement that he submitted to the prosecutor's office.

The rally at the Rosneftegaz office in Novy Urengoy was dedicated to protecting the environment and violation of labor laws by the company.

On November 10, Znak.com reported that the police came to the organizer of the rally and other participants. Activist Marina Krivoshapko, who also lives in Nadym, said that the investigator called her:

In the evening, an OBEP officer called me and said that they had a Rosneftegaz lawyer, Tatyana Pushkaruk, who wrote a statement against me, allegedly that I had discredited the honor of the Rosneftegaz Corporation with my participation in the rally. The investigator informed me that the lawyer, on the basis of a power of attorney on behalf of the director of Rosneftegaz, asked the police to prosecute me for participating in the rally.
