The founding conference of Open Russia in Saratov was attended by police officers and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. This was reported on the website of the movement with reference to the coordinator of the regional branch Dmitry Semenov.
According to Semyonov, fire trucks and police cars had been standing outside the building where the conference was to be held since the very morning.
The police said they had received a report of a planted bomb. Later, they began to talk not about the bomb, but about the smoke. Police representatives insisted that everyone present in the building leave it. The activists, however, pointed out that there was no smoke, and the fire alarm did not work, which means there is no danger.
Semyonov also claimed another strange incident:
Before our founding conference, our supporter Alexei Lukyanov had to pick up the mandates for voting from the printing house. It turned out that a certain unknown person introduced himself by his name and took these mandates - in fact, he stole them. When they arrived, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the police said that Alexey Lukyanov also called them, who also rented a hall for the event. That is, today a certain double of our Alexei Lukyanov appeared, who is trying in every possible way to spoil us. But so far, everything is going according to plan, although a little in combat conditions.
