In the city of Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad Region, the police detained three volunteers from the headquarters of Alexei Navalny for distributing propaganda newspapers. This was reported to OVD-Info by Mikhail Lebedev, a member of the "Aid Group for Detainees in St. Petersburg".
Now all three are in the police department of the city of Sosnovy Bor.
“Employees say that after the protocol is drawn up, they will be released with an obligation to appear in court. Most likely, they are charged with illegal campaigning, but there is no certainty. No one has seen the protocols yet,” Lebedev reports.
UPD: All three were released from the department with protocols under Article 5.10 of the Code of Administrative Offenses - conducting pre-election campaigning outside the campaign period and in places where it is prohibited. Under this article, you can get a fine from one thousand to one thousand five hundred rubles. They must be notified by phone of the court date. It will be held in the city of Sosnovy Bor.
According to one of the volunteers, the police did not violate the law: the protocol was drawn up in their presence, they were not kept in the department longer than allowed.
