The reason for the detention according to the police is suspicion of the theft of the car. On his Facebook page, the Crimean Tatar activist wrote that his "car by some miracle became a double."
Another participant in the “Crimean solidarity” said that he was regarding the detention as pressure on Belyalov in connection with his activities.

On the same day, five Crimean Tatars, which work in his cafe, were detained in the building located in the courtyard of Belyalov. According to them, at half past seven morning people in masks and machine guns who explained nothing and began to demand from men to show documents and be called called into the house. One of the employees of the cafe was beaten. Everyone was taken to the department, but then released without protocols.
