Senator Anton Belyakov introduced a bill to the State Duma on the prohibition of the "propaganda of the criminal subculture" in the media and social networks, TASS reports with reference to the author of the initiative.

"It is forbidden in the media, as well as in information and telecommunication networks, the propaganda of the criminal subculture, which is expressed in the dissemination of information about the sociocultural values ​​of the criminal world aimed at the formation of the attractiveness of the criminal image of behavior," the document says. Amendments are proposed to be made to the laws on the media, information and the protection of children from harmful information.

In the case of the adoption of the bill, Roskomnadzor will be able to block sites whose contents "forms an idea of ​​the attractiveness of a criminal lifestyle."

"In Russia, at the legislative level, the propaganda of suicide, drugs, extremism as negative and socially dangerous phenomena is not allowed. At the same time, there is no formally a ban on the propaganda of a criminal subculture, although the popularization of a criminal lifestyle has no less public danger, and the criminal subculture itself is directly related to extremism, racketeering and other violations legality and law and order, ”the author of the bill said.

According to Belyakov, among the Russian youth there is a certain "informal youth community, whose members promote thieves 'and prison concepts among minors, require compliance with the" thieves' code ", collect money for the so -called common house and establish a parallel structure of power by analogy with the adult criminal world."

Perhaps the senator had in mind the subculture of the allegedly existing teenage gangs AUE (prison manner un. - Ed.). In December last year, at a meeting of the Council of Human Rights under the President, the Secretary of the Council Yana Lantratov called the AUE subculture "The Problem of National Security" and called on Vladimir Putin to create an interagency group with the participation of security forces to combat criminal ideology.
