The head of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Crimea, Irina Kiviko, said that the department considers the ICO discussion using bitcoins in the region prematurely, RNS reports.
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance of the Ministry of Finance Alexei Moiseev on the sidelines of the Youth Forum in the State Duma suggested that the department could approve the purchase of cryptocurrency tokens in the Crimea as part of the primary placement of currencies.
However, Kiviko said: “It's too early to talk about this, since the Russian Federation does not have a relevant legislative framework for the use of bitcoins.”
The Crimean Minister emphasized that the Republican Ministry of Finance supports the position of Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the regulation of cryptocurrencies. Recall that the head of state instructed the competent departments to work out the issues of legislative regulation of the use of cryptocurrencies in Russia.
