The general director of Yandex in Russia Alexander Shulgin, who also carried out operating management, decided to leave the company. Shulgin explained that he "came time to move on." His post will be occupied by the financial director of Greg Abovsky, the company’s press service said .

Shulgin was virtually the second person in Yandex after Arkady Volozh, heading the Yandex group of companies.

Greg Abovsky has been working in Yandex since 2013 - first, as vice president for relations with investors and corporate development, since 2014 = financial director of the company. Over the past few years, he has been engaged in operating activities, and also helped various teams in Yandex to develop their services.

Before Yandex, Abovsky worked in leading positions in finance, media and technology for more than 14 years. Abovsky has the degree of MVA Harvard Business School, graduated from undergraduate in economics and Russian literature at the University of Brown.
