Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine: head of the LPR Plotnitsky fled to Russia
The head of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, Igor Plotnitsky, is in Russia, Artem Shevchenko, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Interior Ministry, said on Facebook .
“According to my sources, the leader of the Lugansk terrorists, Igor “Plotva” Plotnitsky, fled to Russia,” he wrote.
On November 21, a patrol of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission spotted a convoy of military equipment near Lugansk.
Unidentified armed men in camouflage seized the center of Lugansk on Tuesday, November 21. This may have been the response of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the LPR, Igor Kornet, to his dismissal. On November 20, Plotnitsky dismissed Kornet, as a criminal case was opened against the minister.
