Today, after two and a half years of serious illness, Dmitry Hvorostovsky died. He gave the last concert in his native Krasnoyarsk in June this year.

In Siberia, Dmitry Hvorostovsky managed to be with concerts about once a year, although it was loaded with work, a schedule for performances at the best sites in the world was painted for several years in advance. Recently, Hvorostovsky’s concerts in Krasnoyarsk, however, were transferred several times due to his illness. But this summer he said : “I returned, I had to. I understand that the best is already behind: youth, the best voice ... what to do? But I continue to fight the disease and hope.“ Hope ”is the most urgent word for me now! It was clear that a person really wants to live

- Dima and I were friends for many years. Always, when he came to Krasnoyarsk, they always met, dined or dinner together, our meeting has always been a holiday, ”says Larisa Markoeva , the soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theater, the People's Artist of Russia, the first partner of the Hvorostovsky on the opera stage. - And after his last concert, we met, talked in the dressing room. It was evident that a person really wants to live. But what could he do for this? Just sing to the last. Maybe this kept him in the last year.

Dmitry Hvorostovsky’s parents are not musicians. Dad, Alexander Stepanovich, - an engineer, mother, Lyudmila Petrovna, - a doctor. They still live in Krasnoyarsk. At the Gorky Pedagogical School, where Hvorostovsky entered the conductor-and-aged department after the music school, are still sure that Dmitry Alexandrovich in a sense fulfilled the unexpressed dreams of his father.

- Father Dmitry has a wonderful voice! At that time, consolidated city choirs, amateur opera studios, Alexander Stepanovich always participated in them. If he had not been an engineer, he would probably become a wonderful opera singer. When they came to our school, we always asked him to sing, ”says Lyudmila Blokhina , one of the first teachers of Dmitry Hvorostovsky, during his studies, he was the head of the musical department of pedicellum No. 1. - And he often came in, everything was interested in how the success of his son was. And in general, he participated actively in his fate. Perhaps Dima is the embodiment of his unfulfilled dream. Dima himself recognized it ...

When Dmitry Hvorostovsky entered the school in 1979, no one immediately realized that he was especially gifted, says Lyudmila Georgievna.

- Of course, it was clear that the boy had a voice. But he came to us with a very young man, 17 years old (and even then, a light gray hair began to break through!). It was evident that the guy is educated, well -read. The way he further, having already become an adult singer, worked on the stage, as he understood the heroes, style, era - all this, apparently, came from the family, it does not fall on a person overnight. But he developed as a singer, nevertheless, gradually, including physiologically, anatomically. After all, it is too late for the boys that the formation of a voice occurs, ”says Lyudmila Georgievna.

But he tried to speak, tells Blokhin, wherever possible: at concerts, and at competitions, and in choirs, and solo.

- And he loved to participate in student cabbage. Imagine, put on a hoodie and portrayed Alla Pugacheva! In general, Dima was never a puin student, but he was a very normal guy.

By the end of his studies, the novice singer had a victory in the Glinka contest. And the final commission gave him a recommendation to the Institute of Arts as a particularly gifted student. At the institute, he fell into the classroom to Professor Ekaterina Konstantinovna Iofel (she passed away in January of this year at the age of 93). And already in the second year, he first went on stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera Theater.

- He came bright. But immediately to say that it will be a global star, no one would risk it. Sometimes it happens: such nightingales come, but then turn out to be sparrows, it’s like a cat in a bag, ”says Larisa Markoeva . “But it was always visible: Dima knows his price, understands what he does and what he wants in life.” And understanding this, he simply worked hard in black (although, probably, this word is not very suitable for the singer). But I am a witness to him. I know what kind of phonothek he had at home and how much he listened to the singers - not his beloved, but studied with others.

Dmitry Hvorostovsky and Larisa Marzoev on the Krasnoyarsk Opera stage sang together many parties, from children's performances to Evgeny Onegin, Faust, Iolanta, Paytsev ...

“His most vivid work in Krasnoyarsk is“ Eugene Onegin ”and for me too,” says Larisa Marzoeva. - This performance was staged by George Miller, one of the outstanding directors of the old generation. The performance was filled, made by the heart, and not some directorial tricks. And Dima worked great. Here, it would seem, there is a rehearsal of the scene of Tatyana’s letter, Onegin is not directly involved in it. And Dima sat and listened to every word to the director, and sometimes he could even cry, so deeply we perceived it all ...

World Glory came to Hvorostovsky in 1989, when he won the competition "Singer of the World" in Cardiff. Immediately after that, he began to receive offers from the best theaters in the world, in the very beginning of the 1990s he left Krasnoyarsk, and since 1994 he constantly lived in London.

“But you know, he has always been such a Krasnoyarsk!” When we pulled out here, our "industrial" urban air swallowed directly, as if he was fragrant with something delicious ... People are people, their character does not change,-says Larisa Marszoeva. - In general, he kept himself in a good human form, although some may not have understood his certain closeness. But it seems to me that this is good that he was not a sort of shirt-party-the entrance is free, come in. No, he wasn’t like that ... we all loved him very much. Souls did not dull in him ...

Krasnoyarsk poet Victor Evgrafov was friends with Dmitry Hvorostovsky in his youth. Now he recalls:

-I was introduced to him in the mid-80s, he performed at a concert at the Institute of Arts. There is a concert, a powerful voice, it feels like not even baritones, but bass. I whisper to my friends: "Yes, this is a genius." Oh, they answer me, you are exaggerating. After us, they introduced them. He is a very modest, outwardly harsh, but kind and sensitive person. By the way, I know that he gave all his fees for concerts in Krasnoyarsk to his Hose Institute of Arts ... The last time we saw at the funeral of our common friend. Dmitry specially flew to Krasnoyarsk, we still loaded with him that the best left, and broke up. Since then, I have not seen him ... Dmitry’s internal power was huge, the Siberian hero seemed to be so, and the health of the mighty ...

According to media reports , yesterday morning, parents flew to Dmitry Hvorostovsky in the London hospital. They managed to say goodbye to their son. In the will, Dmitry Hvorostovsky asked to bury one part of his ashes in Moscow, the other in Krasnoyarsk.
