Moma will begin December with two exhibitions

Exhibitions of Nikita Makarov and Natasha Dimofeeva will open in early December at the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art (MMOMA).

In MMOM on Tverskaya, 9 from December 5 to January 14, a personal exhibition of Moscow artist Nikita Makarov “ Finis Terrae: on the edge of the enchanted world” (curators - Andrey Egorov and Anna Harutyunyan) will be held.

“The exposition will include urban and coastal species of Italy and France, Spain and Greece, as well as landscapes from the new series written in Russia in the vicinity of Pereslavl,” the MMOM website reports. “They will be complemented by copyright photographs that serve as the basis for paintings recorded by the artist Audio Gid, as well as some special exhibits (tools, curioses, furniture, books), which will create an entourage of an imaginary home-made house.”

From December 6 to January 8, the mommy, together with the Triumph gallery, will present the project of Natasha Timofeeva and Alexander Minchenko “Without the name: Gogolevsky, 10” , created in the genre of “Site specification”.

The building of the Mom on Gogolevsky Boulevard, 10 - the former Naryshkin estate, the exhibition hall (previously used as a kitchen) consists of arched arches and numerous niches and recesses. In his installation, Timofeev proposes to focus on the features of this place, focusing on his interior and a special architectural score.

“The multi -channel sound sculpture created for the exhibition Alexander Mintchenko, along with the installation of Timofeeva, form a dense and at the same time unstable environment of the transitional spaces, risking the memories of archival photographs,” the organizers say.

The exhibition “Without the name: Gogolevsky, 10” (curator - Marina Bobyleva) will be held as part of the program for supporting the young art of MMOM and the “Young Lions” project.
