The presidential administration discuss the participation in the 2018 presidential election "Candidate from Business" and "Liberal Candidate", Vedomosti reports with reference to sources close to the Kremlin.

According to the interlocutor of the publication, the “normal candidate” will be nominated from the “growth party” of the business discord Boris Titov. Previously, the sources of The Bell reported that entrepreneur Oleg Tinkov can advance to the elections. However, at the end of October, the businessman denied this hearing.

A source of Vedomosti claims that the Kremlin can be considered quite seriously "the possibility of nomination to the presidency of the ex-Minister of Finance, the head of the Committee of Civil Initiatives Alexei Kudrin. According to another interlocutor in the presidential administration, such an offer was nominated in the fall of last year, but was rejected. The representative of Kudrin Pavel Kuznetsov previously stated that the possible nomination of the ex-minister was not considered either in the KGI or in the CSR.

The newspaper’s defendant added that there will be more surprises in the presidential campaign, and a specific version of its holding will be chosen depending on the circumstances of the nomination of Vladimir Putin: according to him, it is still unknown whether the current president will nominate from United Russia or go to the elections as a self -nominee.

The participation of the presidential election was already announced by the Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov, LDPR chairman Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Yabloko leader Grigory Yavlinsky, journalist Ksenia Sobchak and the head of the corruption Fund Alexei Navalny. According to the law of Navalny, they cannot be registered as a candidate due to the presence of a criminal record in the Kirovles case.

The upper house should appoint the presidential election between December 7 and 17.
