The local Investigative Committee may initiate a new (already fourth) criminal case against the former school teacher Alexander Byvshev from the village of Kromy for inciting hatred or enmity (Article 282 of the Criminal Code). Materials about two poems have already been received by the UK. This was reported to OVD-Info by Alexander Byvshev himself.
The poems were published in September on the Orlets website. The first interrogation in the new case is scheduled for November 30.
On October 19, a written undertaking not to leave and on proper behavior was taken from Byvshev in the third criminal case, and on October 30 they were charged with publishing the verse. Two others were also started because of the publication of his pro-Ukrainian poems.
In the fall of 2014, his poem "To Ukrainian Patriots" was recognized as extremist. After that, Byvshev was included in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring and his bank accounts were blocked.
On July 13, 2015, the poet was sentenced by the court to 300 hours of compulsory work. In addition, he was banned from teaching at school for two years for inciting hatred on ethnic grounds (part 1 of article 282 of the Criminal Code).
