Navalny overcomes resistance

Navalny’s rally took place in Perm, in a private territory, which was provided by residents of three houses. According to a similar scheme , the rally was already taking place in Izhevsk . The local authorities did not agree on other sites for the meeting for several months.

Not supporters met Navalny, but representatives of law enforcement agencies. Already at the ramp, an employee of the prosecutor's office warned that the planned event is illegally:

The yard that local residents provided, people filled completely. The house was decorated with the banner "We are for socialism." Basically, students and schoolchildren came to the meeting, but there were many representatives of the older generation. According to the organizers, they gave out all the available 2,800 tickets, after which people continued to come. A large full house at the rallies of Navalny was observed this fall in other cities.

Police outfits were on duty at the entrances to the site, the reserve on the bus expected in the neighboring courtyard. Just in case, two autozaks fitted.

“We are not the supporters of Navalny, I am a socialist - you see the slogan on our house. We knew about the difficulties that arise when organizing such meetings. In our city, the administration did not coordinate the sites, the authorities are afraid to give the floor to their citizens, moreover, they intimidate the owners so that they do not provide the sites for Navalny. But we believe that it is important to fight for freedom to express our ideas, and we decided to give people the opportunity to express their opinion, ”said Vadim Lagutenko, representative of the owners of the houses, opening the rally.

The rally went through the script. Navalny made a programmatic speech about high taxes and low salaries, about the need to cancel an draft in the army and bring to justice of corruption officials. He promised to dissolve the parliament and provide each income from natural resources. After he answered the questions of those who came. The meeting in the Ural frost lasted within an hour and a half. The organizer of the action - the head of the headquarters of Navalny in Perm Natalya Vavilov, the police detained after the rally for an hour, imputing the illegal organization of the mass event and disobedience to the police - she hesitated and fell while going to the police car.

Activists had much more problems when organizing a meeting. On November 18, police officers came to the headquarters and seized all leaflets, computers and other office equipment.

The residents of the houses that provided their yard for the rally, the police came to the apartments and were interested in their opinion about Navalny.

But activists met difficulties with a song. In the literal sense of the word - a policeman who came to the headquarters on November 22, to read out a warning about the inadmissibility of an inconsistent action had to be performed by activist Sergei Useov.
