And this, in the absence of reforms, is a national disaster - the road to a landfill of world history.

Liberals do not like the current government. Supporters of democratic ideas do not like the lack of freedoms, open political competition, and the development of institutions. The renunciation of the tsar and the bourgeois revolution, which they achieved so, led not to the promised freedom and prosperity, but to the triumph of the proletarian revolution and, as a result, to total hunger, extinction of the population, dozens of millions of victims. <...>
And here, analogies suggest by themselves - today's rallies of Navalny, in the highest degree of talented and eloquent politics, pain to the pre -revolutionary work of the Bolshevik agitators. Like the Bolsheviks, Navalny, calling youth to enter the streets, actually uses fragile young minds, their natural craving for activity, protest moods for their purely personal political purposes. Russian business, like all Russian citizens, are adults and responsible people who have the right to honest elections and independent decisions. They do not need “guarantors” of stability and growing up, they need democracy in its full modern sense, and the president, which is necessary today is not a leader and a teacher, but a civil servant, a defender of rights and freedoms.
Sobchak scolds Titov for “first of all - the search for an ideal in the past. Without detracting the merits of Witte or Stolypin in front of Russian history, I still want to see more modern examples as guidelines.” After watching her debate with Solovyov, I am sure that she has in mind the ex-Minister of Economics Andrei Nechaev.
